Hello,
I am using AVG AntiVirus Free. The problem is every few hours I get DNS errors. I flushed DNS, sockets, restarted, re-installed programs. This would work for another few hours before acting up again. It didn't matter if it was on Chrome or IE. It didn't really matter what websites I was on or how many tabs. My computer was the only device with issues so I know it cannot be my internet itself as I was able to google guides on my phone and listen to livestreams on a different computer. Then some helpful person suggested turning off antivirus just to see if that was the problem. Hesitantly I did so. Immediately my internet was working fine again. How do I make it so that I have antivirus protection and can actually browse the internet?
Hello Melody,
We will work together to sort this out.
Open AVG AntiVirus, click on "Menu->Settings->Components", disable one component at a time and check disabling which component fix the issue.

Itt appears to be the web shield. The last time I had the error I tried just turning off the web and email shields and the errors stopped. I can't imagine the email shield being able to choke up my computer like that but I haven't tested the shields independantly.
