AVG blocking Turbotax key code

In light of the current circumstances concerning COVID-19 outbreak, there was a delay. We are operational now.
It is not possible for AVG program to interrupt the activation of Turbotax activation.
if you aren't able to activate Turbotax program, then we can check whether it is being blocked by our program.
If that is the case, refer this article and follow the steps as mentioned under "Prevent applications from running in the background" category.
Check whether Turbotax is put to sleep by TuneUp program. If yes, click on wake up and check whether you are able to access the application.
Open AVG Internet Security program. Click on "Menu–>Settings–>General–>Blocked&allowed apps".
Check whether Turbotax is under blocked apps. If yes, then remove it and add it to allowed apps.

While putting figures into my Turbotax an AVG update window came up saying it needed to shut down my computer to update. Before I could hit 'no' it shut down and when it came up my Turbotax was gone. When I tried to reinstall my PC would not accept the Turbotax key code. Letting Intuit Turbotax take control of my PC they tried four times with their own key codes and my PC would would not accept them. Why is AVG blocking this and what do I need to switch off to stop this from happening? Thanks for any advise.

I followed your instructions. I found TurboTax 2019 was already listed under 'Allowed Apps' I removed it from there just to see if that would help and once again installed TurboTax. The program always installs but when asked for the key code which came with the CD a window comes up saying it is not recognized. This also happened when Intuit tried 4 times with their own key codes. Everything was working with the TurboTax untile AVG's window come up saying it had just updated and needed to restart which it did. Coincidence?
