Please turn off the web shield component in your AVG AntiVirus and check for the issue again.

Open your AVG -> Menu -> Settings -> Basic protection -> Web shield

Let us know the status of the issue.

I am very angry about the time I have wasted trying to work out how to stop AVG from blocking my browsers. So far, it has blocked Opera and Chrome. This has to stop. Unless AVG tells me exactly how I can stop this idiocy I shall simply throw thr whole AVG caboodle out.
