Recently updated AVG Free basic protection to latest version. My email app eMail Client was also updated to a new version the same day. Since then, AVG blocks eMail Client from downloading new mail. I have to turn off AVG to get mail, which defeats the purpose of protection. I turned AVG back on, and when the laptop is closed and opened later, the problem persists. It only happens on this particular computer. Other devices receive mail that also employ AVG basic. Any suggestions?

Under Computer tile, disabling File and behavior shields had no effect.
Under Web and Email tile, with web shield off and email shield on, messages were downloaded. Also, with web shield on and email shield off, messages were downloaded.With both turned on, email is not received.
