AVG blocks my Windows Hello face sign in

I have the same problem it is caused by the July update, you can uninstall the update the camera will work until automatic update puts July's back

I also experience the same problem. I am using AVG Internet Security, there is privacy protection, when I open the privacy setting, the webcam protection is on. I just disable it and windows hello face sign-in is working again. I am using windows 11. I don't know how to allow a specific app for windows hello in AVG Internet Security.

Hi. I set up my Windows Hello face sign-in (Windows 10), but it soon stops working and can't find the camera! However, whenever there's an upgrade to AVG (antivirus free), it starts working again…but only for a few days, that is. What's happening? Thanks

Same thing happened to me.  Thought it was a problem with the Windows camera drivers or something related and proceeded to reinstall drivers and such which did not resolve the issue.  Windows Hello Face worked on initial login after a reboot but stop after I was logged in to my system. Finally decided to temporarily turn off AVG Internet Security to see if it was impacting Windows Hello Face. After turning it off, Windows Hello Face worked fine.  Saw the solution in previous posts, turning off webcam protection in the privacy settings.  Since this function worked prior to the July update, I would say it's a BUG that needs to be addressed in future updates… In the meantime AVG is complaining that I turned off protection for my camera:)  Hopefully, this issue gets resolve quickly.
