John,
Apologize to hear about that. Please add the application to firewall exceptions list as described in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Allow-application-in-AVG-Firewall .
Hi,
I note this is not the first post on this topic. I have recently purchased a QNAP TS-451, installed QFinderPro on my Win7 PC only to find that QFinderPro cannot "see" the device unless the AVG Firewall is disabled. This is the scenario in play:
Win7 PC - Running SP1 and is up to date with MS software patches
AVG Zen - Build 1.113.2.50020
QFinderPro - Version 5.3.3.1103
Zen is currently running in "Interactive" mode where it will prompt for user to "Allow" or "Deny". So far it has not prompted for QFinderPro.
Also Zen currently has an entry in its Application Rules table which I assume was the result of QFinderPro being installed. The application file path entry in the table appears to be correct (i.e. the QFinderPro exe file location equates to the file path entry.
How is this issue resolved? Please advise.
John.
