Hello Darre,
I understand the inconvenience caused. May I know if you're using AVG Free Antivirus/AVG Internet Security for your computer protection and also let me know if you're running a scan by clicking on "Scan computer" on AVG main interface?
Best regards,
Alok.

Hi Alok, Yes, I'm using AVG AntiVirus Free version 18.3.3051 and yes, I am clicking the "Scan Computer" button on the main interface.

Incidentally, if I navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.9126.21535.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe in explorer, right click on the HxTSR.exe file and select "scan HxTSR.exe" from the explorer context menu, then AVG reports "Looks good, no threats found".

Thanks
Darren

Everytime I scan the computer it reports multiple rootkits healed for the same file: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.9126.21535.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\HxTSR.exe

I believe HxTSR.exe is part of Outlook and the 'healing' by AVG stops outlook from working. I reinstall outlook from the windows store and it works again, but then if I run a computer scan it will once again 'heal' the file resulting in outlook no longer working.

Hi Bhuvaneswari / Alan,

I am happy to report that the "Scan Computer" is now reporting "No threat's found" so the issue appears to have been resolved, somehow?
