Could you please let us know the name of the AVG product you have installed in your pc? so that we are more happy to assist you better. If you have installed Antivirus program please disable http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG it and check whether Outlook works fine. Let us know the status of it, once you it has been done. Thank you
I just downloaded and installed AVG 30 day trail and Outlook 2013 stopped reveiving email. It could send but not receive. I quickly found that if I disable the AVG Outlook add-on all returns to normal.
Others have found this to be an acceptable solution but I do not. Anyone have this working or do I need to look at another AV solution?

I installed AVG Zen and installed the 30 day trial to get access to the full suite of features. I installed it on two PCs. Outlook broke on the second of them so I disabled the AVG Add-On for Outlook. I did not try Otlook on the first one before posting this message. When I tried Outlook on the first PC Outlook worked fine with AVG Add-In enabled. I then went back to the second PC and re-enabled AVG in outlook and it worked. So issues is solved, but I have no idea why or how. Magic I guess.
