AVG bricked my phone

I was prompted to set up a lost phone security feature but stopped the set up because I did not want to give avg permissions to brick or wipe clean my phone. soon after my phone was bricked. I need my phone back up and running asap for my business. please help

Brenda, it is true that AVG Anti theft feature will lock the device to protect your personal data if your device is lost or stolen. But it is highly unlikely that this is caused by AVG Anti theft as you aborted configuring this feature. I'd request to contact your device manufacturer support for assistance.

I wish there was a way ya'll could help but we seem to have a misunderstanding. my phone appears to be "bricked".  There is no activity, no screen, nothing. I cannot turn it on in order to access anything. It is dead. Murdered, you might say. It is not coming back on it's own. No way to access the boot loader menu. que sera sera.  I hoped avast could see what happened when I defaulted during the setup for avg anti-theft and somehow bring my phone back but so far the response is that avg couldn't have locked or wiped my phone unless the anti theft registration was complete.

Brenda, we're sorry to know that you couldn't find the field to enter the PIN.
Could you take a picture of the phone screen where it asks for the PIN and share it here?
You can post the image here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I had previoulsy set up the four digit avg pin I just have no where to input a pin in a brick.
Unfortunalty I'll have to trade my coddled and swaddled sweet new phone for a refurbished phone from google since mine was still under warranty. Now I wait to see if they say the problem isn't theirs. if so I'm out nearly $800 for a used replacement phone. I'm not happy.

Brenda, thank you for the clarification.
In this case, we will not be able to help further, as you haven't registered the device and enabled the AVG Anti-theft feature.
To fix the boot issue of your mobile, contact the device manufacturer.

Hello, Brenda.
We're here to help. Do you mean your phone is locked by AVG? Could you provide an image of the lock screen to assist you further? Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions to upload an image here.

There is no image of a lock screen to send. the screen is black. I contacted google and they tried to help me get into the bootloader menu to no avail.
I'm not sure what bricked the phone. the reason I believe it was avg related is because before it bricked, I received an onscreen prompt from avg to set up anti theft. I began the process up until granting permissions to wipe and lock the phone because I was not sure I wanted to do so. Hours later I picked up my phone to find that it was bricked.
