AVG browser - customize new tab icons

For anyone wanting to know how to do this. I've discovered something else very useful for customizing the shortcuts. When you open a new tab you see 10 shortcuts to websites below. If you click on the 3 dots on the upper right of each shortcut you have an option to remove the shortcut. Once you remove enough shortcuts you end up with less than 10, then magically you see a new icon that says "add shortcut". You can add the name and URL of your custom shortcut and it's there. To change the order of the shortcuts you have to remove them all and manually add each shortcut in the order you want. ON some shortcuts you have the option to remove or edit the shortcut. Editing will enable you to customize it also.

Hello Gerry, My name is Jovana and I'm with AVG senior support. Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies for the delay.

I can see that you managed to find a solution on how to customize the shortcuts, and I apologize we weren't of more help.

The steps are exactly as you described and I'm glad you managed to sort everything out.
Nonetheless, I'll certainly share your feedback with the team so we can continue making improvements in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

When I open  new tab, how can I customize the icons, so I see the website I want to be displayed? and to save that so it doesn't change next time?

There is a way to customize shortcuts partially. On a new tab you see 10 shortcuts. each one has 3 dots to the upper right when you hover over it. You can either remove or edit the shortcut. If you edit it, you can choose any website URL and name it.

Strangely, some shortcuts only have the remove option. Many of my shortcuts were duplicates, so in a round about way you can customize. It would be nice to understand how and why this works this way. Why certain shortcuts are added and why can't you always edit a shortcut.

Thank you for writing us back, Gerry.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
We certainly check and help you.
Please help us with a screenshot of the page to check and help you further.

I don't have a customize button in the lower right, I have a gear that says personalize and it doesn't help with the tabs

I have installed Workona Tabs and Roboform password manager as extensions

Hello Gerry,
Thank you for sharing the screenshots.

Open AVG Secure browser window and click on three dots at the top right corner.
Click on "settings" and then select "Appearance" from it.
You will see the "show home button" option.
Click on the slider available to the right of it and enable the home button.
You can then set the respective website to be opened when clicked on home button using the field appearing below.

Thank you.

enable the home button - only gives me 1 website. Look at my screenshots. I see about 12 icons that will go to a website. That's what I want to change. I want my custom websites links to go to
