Hello Greg,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We will certainly check and help you.
We would like to clarify that favorites will be saved on your PC hard drive only if you manually exported it. Favorites will not be saved automatically on your hard drive.
If you have any other queries, please feel free to contact us back.
Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for your reply. So since I can no longer boot into the OS all my AVG Favorites are gone and cannot be recovered?
Maybe I didnt explain it correctly. All other other browsers provide a hard drive location where Favorites are stored in the case of a system failure one could extract the Favorites file without booting into the operating system.
For example Firefox stores them C:\Users<your Windows login username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles<profile name>\Bookmarksbackup
Opera browser stores them here C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Bookmarks
Are you sure that AVG browser doesnt have a location where bookmarks are stored?
Nothing against you but I have to say that if this is the case I have to say that IMO this is frustrating irresponsible and dissapointing that the developer would design a browser like this especially if it is intended to be used by the masses.
Thank you.
