I keep adding my own shortcuts and AVG browser repeatedly deletes most of them and reinstalls sponsored or irrelevant shortcuts for websites I have used only once several weeks ago

I'm having the same issue, although, I cannot pinpoint whether or not AVG Secure Browser is the culprit, however. I do know that I use AVG Secure Browser and within the past couple of weeks have experienced the exact same issue as far as my shortcuts and bookmarks disappearing. Oddly enough, on some occasions of this random disappearance of bookmarks and shortcuts I've noticed that some remain, others disappear. It's completely random, as far as I can tell, as to how many and which ones get affected. All I know for sure is that it's annoying, inconvenient, and frustrating because it just so happens to delete the overwhelming majority of my bookmarks and shortcuts; leaving a few, if any, behind.
