AVG Browser not opening after chat closed

I tried the AVG browser again, after the PC reset and it's doing the same as above. Hopefully someone has the answer to fix the problem. I don't want to reinstall it, which will probably not happen as Firefox is working well.

I was having troubles with online shopping (which is normally OK) where I was waiting for a response. Ended up closing the browser but the chat window was still open so I then closed that. Now when the AVG browser tries to start, it quickly flashes up a chat size window and shuts down. A check of the Task Manager indicates it's not running but it should be as I clicked on the Icon. There seems to be a large amount of AVG app's running in the background that don't seem to be related to the security, VPN or cleaner. I haven't restarted the PC yet so that may fix the problem so if it's cleared the problem you won't hear from me.

If AVG Secure Browser crashes or doesn't open, try the troubleshooting steps below:

  • Close AVG Secure Browser and reopen it.
  • If the issue persists, close AVG Secure Browser and restart your PC.
  • If AVG Secure Browser still doesn't open, try uninstalling then reinstalling it.

Uninstalling AVG Secure Browser (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Uninstall-AVG-Secure-Browser&supportType=home)
Installing AVG Secure Browser (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Install-AVG-Secure-Browser&supportType=home)

Note : Please use removal tool to remove AVG Secure Browser.
