I just tried to do that but when i hit enter or F1 as it tells me to do i still get the message "A disk read error occured Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. I even tried F2 to try and boot from there, but it will not do anything.
Used avg tune-up to try and clean up my windows 7 alienware laptop. Avg program said I haven't done a scan in 3 months also said the scan will only work at the start of the computer start up. So I did the restart and let the program do its 5 steps of scanning. The scan finished and restarted. When the computer restarted a black screen came up with an error " A disk read error occurred. Press ctrl+alt+del to restart". Now that's all the labtop will do. I've also tried to enter safe mode but I get the same error. I've taken the hard drive out and connected it to my other computer but I won't load the hard drive due to an error telling me it's not accessible. I can not access avg. The computer does not even make it to the part where I can enter my password. So I can NOT access avg or anything else.
