Hello DM. Thank you for your time to communicate with AVG, and I apologize for the delayed response. My name is Shawn and I will help you.
Specific to your concern, I suspect AVG is either looking for updates or trying to communicate with our servers.
Furthermore, the IPS detection appears to be a false positive. I suggest reporting this behavior to Unifi IPS support.
Good luck. Let me know if there is anything else I may help you with. Regards, Shawn
I have a Unifi Dream Machine Pro with it's IPS threat management turned on. Once every day (on every machine I have running AVG FREE), at exactly the same time every day, the IPS detects the following and creates an alert.
ET DNS Non-DNS or Non-Compliant DNS traffic on DNS port Opcode 8 through 15 set
What is AVG doing once per day to cause this alert?
