I read your thread over at chromium. While I am tech savvy-ish, I am not quite as well versed in sockets and packets as yourself. What I can tell you is that I have had a few overload issues with graphic programs which caused my browsers to crash - this is relevant, so please bear with me - since updating to AVG 2015, but they were only here and there. After updating to AVG 2016 with Zen, I am only able to run one browser at a time and only one tab on that browser. I can run some peripheral programs like calculator or notepad while running a browser, but I can't load any other media programs at all without getting a blue screen.

If you read the thread I started yesterday, I explain how I started getting massive blue screen errors every hour or so beginning within 4 hours of installing Zen. When I uninstalled Zen, it took all the rest of AVG with it and all of the problems I was experiencing went away like magic. I reinstalled AVG - which brought Zen along whether I liked it or not - and my issues resumed.

I am not quite smart enough to figure out where the issue originates, but I suspect it has to do with either graphics, html, or general media because I do not get errors or blue screens if I stick to things which do not include sound, photos, videos, or more than a handful of links. The only solution I can think of is to replace AVG because they do not seem keen to answer me.

I'm not sure if this is the place to report a technical bug,but after a lot of back and forth with Chrome developers, it turns out a bug I originally filed against Chrome actually seems to be AVG related. The discussion is here – https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?can=2&start=0&num=100&q=&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Stars%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified&groupby=&sort=&id=563879

The short description is that AVG is somehow messing up Windows TCP behavior, and sometimes causing Chrome (and other browsers, I now see) to hang when serving content from localhost.
