I followed the instructions and tested the outcome.
I am happy to report that it was not any of the AVG products that are causing the slowness in my PC or causing the disk drive to run constantly.
Google Drive for Desktop works differently than Google Backup & Sync and is the cause of the issue all by itself.
Thanks for your help.
I was forced to install Google Drive for Desktop instead of Backup & Sync. My hard drive light stays solid for about 4 hours after reboot and slows the PC down to where it is unuseable. I run Windows 10, have AVG internet security, AVG Tuneup, AVG anti tracking, AVG VPN (not always on). I read on a thread somewhere that it is AVG that is interfering but I don't know how to track it down.
Has anybody else experienced slowness after installing Google Drive for Desktop and uninstalling Google Backup & Sync when running AVG products?
You are welcome, George.
