AVG causing Excel to save as read only files

Hi Graham,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I would request you to follow the recommendations below and check if that resolve your issue:

Open AVG Internet Security.
Go to Menu ▸ Ransomware Protection.
Click the Protected Folders tab.
Remove all the folders displayed there.
Now select the Blocked/Allowed apps tab.
Remove if there is any path added in Blocked apps list.

Hi, Since today Excel worksheets are being saved as Read Only files with the following message 'The document saved successfully, but Excel cannot reopen it because of a sharing violation. Please close the document and try to reopen it'.
The file that is saved is unable to be opened.
When I turn off AVG the problem disappears and Excel performs faster and correctly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
