AVG Causing Issue when Syncing Photos via iTunes to a Mobile Device (iPad and iPhone)

I started getting the following error when syncing photos via iTunes to my Mobile Devices (iPad and iPhone).  The error said, 'iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPad "My iPad" bacause your Photos Library is not yet avaiable.  Please try again later.'  Once I turned off the AVG Antivirus, the error stopped.  Hopefully they will fix this issue in the next release…

I added both iTunes and Photos as exceptions.  I still receive the error–'iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPad "My iPad" bacause your Photos Library is not yet avaiable.  Please try again later.–when I try to sync.  Once I turn off real time protection, the mobile devices sync just fine.

I was using AVG antivirus for Mac.  It was the most up to date version because it was a freshly downloaded version from your website yesterday—I was able to duplicate the error every time the virus program was active.  I will try it again adding the exception.  If you have any other questions, please let me know.
