Hello Ralph, 

We are glad to help you. We need to change the AVG Firewall system rules to access Printer when AVG Internet Security is active.

  • Open the AVG Internet Security user interface and click the Hacker Attacks tile.
  • Click Settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner.
  • Ensure Full protection ▸ Enhanced Firewall is selected in the left panel, then click System rules.
  • Select Enabled for "Allow Windows File and Printer sharing"

I have recently had issues with all network printers showing offline in windows.  This has happened on all 6PC's with AVG installed.  Printers will only work when AVG prtoection is disabled.  or if I disable SMNP Status in the port configuration.  Is there a better solution to this issue?
