Regarding the message about data execution protection, share us the screenshot of it.

You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on "Answer" & then click on the "Image" [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Regarding the interface failed to load for AVG Antivirus FREE, I request you to repair AVG and reboot your PC to check if it fixes.

A window came up with message:
Data Execution Protection
To help protect computer Windows has closed the following program:
AVG antivirus
There is red circle over AVG icon; when I click on it get message:
UI failed to load
AV service is not responding
with 2 buttons:    Exit       Restart Service
Restart Service doesn't help
I think I read about a DEP friendly program in Windows Help&Support?
Windows XP, Firefox
