AVG Cloud Care Incompatibility

Hello David,

Thanks for your reply.

I did what you suggested, and the problem appears to be restricted to Content Filter.
If I install only the Content Filter, the problem shows up.
If I install every component but Content Filter, the problem disappears.

How may I help you to solve this problem?

Thanks for your time.

Hello all,

The company that I work for has bought licenses for AVG Cloud Care.

However, I am having some problems with incompatibility between AVG Cloud Care and Visual Studio 2012 / Visual Studio Express For Web 2012.

Two calls has been made from last month (AVGCC65092 and AVGCC64997), but no official position has been defined about the problem.

The problems I am experiecing are:

1- When AVG Cloud Care is installed, when I open a Visual Studio 2012 project (Vb or C#) and try to run it, a popup appears with the following message: "A 64 bit debugging operation is taking longer than expected. This maybe be caused by incompatibilities with 3rd party networking software.".
Only full uninstall solves this issue.

2- When I try to open a connection to a sql database in my code from Visual Studio Express For Web, it returns the following error: "A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake."
I have disabled the auto protect from AVG as requested and this particular issue has been solved. However it seems more a workaround than a real solution.

I would like to know how should I proceed to solve this issues, because a considerable number of machines are not having AVG installed at this moment due to this issues.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Bruno,

Do you have to completely remove AVG Cloudcare or only the AntiVirus client?

Try installing Cloudcare with only Remote IT. Is the issue still present? If it is please let us know, but if it isn't install the AntiVirus client but install only the AntiVirus component, do not install Web Protection, Firewall, or Email Scanner. These components utilise a filter driver which may be interfering with the process.

Please let us know the results.

Best Regards,

David Phillips.
