AVG completely puked. Useless. Please help

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Kindly delete the AVG folder from the C Drive and then try uninstalling the application from the Control Panel.

A few days ago, my AVG all of a sudden tried to run updates, and is just stuck in some sort of update loop error - will not update.  I tried ti uninstall, but it tells me "setup is already running".  Have already tried reboot.  Have tried AVG clear tool./  Have set DNS to google DNS (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4).  Nothing working.  Please help.  At this point I think I just want AVG off my system - I've had VIRUSES easier to remove!
