Hello Marilyn.
We'll certainly look into this.
Generally, AVG Secure VPN has no impact on email behavior if you access your web based email account via an internet browser.
Please try to access your email account in a different web browser and check.
Regarding BBC iPlayer, you could try connecting to UK, Wonderland or Glasgow VPN servers in AVG Secure VPN.
Marilyn, we aren't able to see the document that you have attached in your post.
Try attaching the image by clicking on 'Answer' & then on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] on the field where you type the message.
We would like to know whether the issue gets resolved when you try other locations available within our VPN.
I have been using AVG VPN for several months without any difficulty (other than BBC i-Player - I have to disconnect from the VPN to access i-Player). Then yesterday (19/09/2019) I tried to access my Webmail email account and failed - "took too long to connect". I refreshed, closed and tried to reconnect, restarted my computer - still no success. However, i could connect to Webmail via my tablet which was not running via my AVG VPN. When I disconnected the VPN, the connection to Webmail was immediately restored.
Have you made any changes to the VPN in the last day or so?
What suggestions do you have?
I appreciate your efforts, Marilyn.
You need not uninstall any of the AVG applications.
I have sent an email to provide additional support to resolve the issue. Please check the email and follow the instructions.
I have uninstalled AVG Secure VPN and re-installed it using the code you sent. I have restarted my computer. I have checked webmail and i-player using the optimal location connection (UK, London) and I am unable to connect to either.
I have changed the location to UK, Glasgow and I can connect to my webmail account but I cannot access BBC i-player.
My list of Apps include the following:
AVG Anti Virus FREE
AVG Driver Updater (with Help)
AVG Secure Browser

Please see the document in Dropbox (link at bottom of message) which shows screen prints of my computer connected to the AVG VPN, and attempts to access my webmail email account via Firefox, Chrome and AVG Secure Server.
As soon as I disconnect from the VPN, I can connect to my email account via all three browsers.
This is a new problem - it only started happening yesterday (Thursday 19/09/2019). Previously I had no problems connecting to my email account while being connected to the VPN.
This isn't just weird or annoying. It makes having a VPN totally pointless as I have my email account open in the background whenever my computer is switched on, so that I can check emails frequently.

I am not able to attach a document becauase I do not know how to save it in the format you require - gif .jpeg and .png. I can create a PDF file but it seems you do not allow me to upload a PDF document.
My AVG VPN screen shows 'Your location will appear as UK, London (Optimal location)'. I have just changed the location to UK, Glasgow, and I can now access my webmail account using all 3 browers ( Chrome, Firefox and AVG Secure)… UK, Wonderland does not work for me. So do I need tokeep the UK, Glasgow setting as my permanent location?
BBC i-Player does not work with any of the 3 UK VPN locations. I have to disable the VPN to allow my computer to access i-Player.
