AVG crashing during full scan

Have you tried reinstalling AVG Antivirus application?

I have tried 3 times to do a full scan on my MacBook, but every time that it's almost finished (usually at 98%) the program shuts down unexpectedly. I have tried on two different MacBook and it doesn't work on either of them. I have no idea what to do? Just got AVG and it's a brand new laptop
