Rosa,

We regret the inconvenience, you have two active AVG Internet Security (1 computer). One will expire by 2019.5.19 and another one is valid till 2018.11.28. Here, renewal has been taken place on second  attempt.

Do you have two windows devices?

I have had exactly the same email today as Rosa sayng you can't process my payment. I am also very confused as my credit card has not expired.

Please could you investigate.

I too did not trust thie email address avg.cs@digitalriver.com which refered to me as 'Dear New Customer'. I have also been a customer for years.

Thank you

I've had the same email as you have. My card hasn't expired either. I was very suspicious about the message, but after reading here, I see that it's legitimate. I hope that it processes at the next attempt, because as far as I'm aware, there are no problems at my end.

Hi, Ranjani! Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes, I do have 2 AVG Internet Security products: One is installed on my laptop and the other one on my husband's PC__still valid until 2018.11.28…
I have already renewed the one on my laptop__it was up for renewal next week. Once I was told by Alan that it was legitimate, then I proceeded with the purchase. In the past I was not approached by avg.cs@digitalriver.com emails, hence I was a bit surprised. Also, whenever AVG contacted me, they always addressed me as "Rosa", whereas this new email said "New customer"; I am not new, I have been for a few years. Normally when it's a scam, they don't know your name and they keep it very "general".
Many thanks for your support. Much appreciated!

Hi, htis morning I got this email. My renewal subscription is due next month. There is nothing wrong with my credit card, so I don't understand  why AVG is unable to process my payment. Could you polease confirm that "avg.cs@digitalriver.com" is legitimate. I have never had any problems before. Also, on the email they address me as "new customer" when on previous emails they always addressed me by my first name! My credit card is not up for renewal yet!

Dear New Customer,
Your AVG Internet Security subscription will expire on 19 May 2018, because we're unable to process your payment.
This may be because your payment card **************** has been blocked, has expired or will expire before your renewal date on 04 May 2018.

Thanks for your help!

Thank you for confirming and for choosing AVG, Rosa.

I have checked your records and realize that you received two emails via Digital River regarding this renewal. Digital River is our Payment Gateway which we added recently. First email you received with "Hello New customer" is an test email and you received order confirmation mail with "Dear Rosa Abery". You can ignore the first email, thank you for your understanding.
