Enter your email address registered with AVG and click Request Access.
Check your email inbox > click "Go to Portal" button on the email that you received > Support > scroll down and submit a request for data deletion.

AVG continue to take money from my account via my debit card for unwanted products. I cannot find a way to stop them doing this as it does not seem to be possible to delete my card details in their system.

I do not have any subscriptions.

Gillian, we assure that AVG won't make any unauthorized charge to our customer. We will certainly check and help you.
We could not find the active subscriptions/trial order on the account that you used for AVG community. Hence, I have sent you an email requesting few details to locate your subscription. 
Please check for the email and revert to us.

Thank you. I have requested all bank card details held by AVG be removed. In the meantime please can you tell me how to claim a refund for moneies taken without my consent.
