When the AVG detection window pops up, it freezes screen reader such as nvda, Jaws, and so on.
Also I can't use keyboard.
Other than asking sighted person to dismiss the popup with amouse, only way to get my computer back is to force power down and reboot.

Hi,
I can use all other function like scanning, changing settings, and so on with screen reader.
I can't use avg detection popup, because for some reason it traps the keyboard. Other pop up like asking for upgrade doesn't do that. Just detection popup.
Since I use my computer without mouse, so if avg traps the keyboard, I can't do anything.
You can download a free open source screen reader called NVDA and test it out. It'd be great if it gets fixed.
Thanks,
Hi John, thanks for the information, We will check on this issue and let you know. And if you want you can turn off the notification and AVG will work automatically in background.
you can stop the pop ups by, Open AVG > Options > Advance settings > Appearance > uncheck AVG notifications
Thank you
I use AVG 2015 free eddition on Windows.
The popup comes up when I run false positive program such as cwrsync.

Thanks for the tips.
However, it only fix the issue for this particular situations unfortunately.
What if AVG tries to block the real virus? Screen reader users won't be able to interact with the alert to remove it then.
AVG needs to fix it.
