AVG disabled all internet connections - had to delete. Pointless

Since installing AVG on my phone (I'm a paid subscriber), it prevents me going online at all. That's not the protection I had in mind - I can stay offline for free. How do I arrange to have protection and connectivity?

We are sorry if you feel like that. This is not an expected behaviour of AVG Mobile products. AVG mobile products does not block internet connection. Please provide the following information to help you better :

1.  Confirm the version of operating system installed in it. 
2. How do you confirm that AVG program blocking Internet connection?
3. What are all the AVG programs installed in your device?

From a quick google I can see that this has been happening to your customers since at least 2017, so this is not good enough
