I rebooted my computer and when I returned to it and logged in there was an applet open for Microsoft Support and AVG was disabled.
In the applet window it appeared that someone from Microsoft support had logged into my computer, taken control of it and rebooted it, then typed in a serial number similar to a Windows licence ID.
I have reactivated AVG and I'm running a full system scan now, but has anyone come across anything like this before? I've kept a screen print of the applet window.
