If it's the AVG TuneUp, please undo the changes made by your AVG TuneUp as mentioned in this article & check the status.

I have inadvertently set up AVG to disable some essential programs that auto initiated at startup on my machine, but now that I realized my error I can't find where this setting is. Does anyone know where I can find this?

I do believe it is the AVG TuneUp tool that gave me that screen during my initial setup of the software. However, the article you linked is giving me a

message. Do you have another resource that will tell me where to undo the changes I made?
