AVG disappeared and can't re-download

We are here to help you. Please open launchpad and look for AVG Antivirus icon.
If it's not there, please click here > scroll down the page follow further recommendations to clear the previous AVG traces from your mac computer.
After that, you can follow the instruction to download/install AVG Antivirus on your Mac computer.

I had AVG free version installed on my MAC.  One day it just "disappeared"…gone.  So, I went to AVG site and downloaded the free version again.  When trying to install it, I get a message that AVG is already installed…and to first uninstall.  But, it is gone, not there…not even showing in my Applications???  Help…
