Disk defragmentation is a feature which helps us to store all the files in a single location to increase the speed of the search and performance of the computer. The scan is depends on the number of files located in the drives and the disk space. Normally this process would take some time as it scans the entire disk to defragment the files.
I suggest you to cancel the process of defragmentation on AVG PC Tuneup main interface and right click on settings icon (maintenance feature) skip the defragmentation option. Now, go to All functions feature( last component) -> Hard Disk -> Defragment Disk. Select the driver and choose "run a fast defragmentation". It will show you the time frame of the process. Please wait till the process gets completed.

So is there any reason that the avg's disk fragmentation takes forever? It is currently 5:53pm, and I started it at around 5:30-6am. I have done the repairing in control panel, and resetted my computer. and yet, it has been a almost 12h since the start of this disk fragmentation. I'm just bazzled that this is happening. These things should not take maximum 2h+ and yet its taking me up to 12h. Please help me if you can AVG!!!
