AVG doesn’t work on Vista

I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

If you have AVG Internet Security installed, please disable AVG temporarily on your computer and check if you are able to connect to Internet.

To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to "Disable Protection". Please click on the same to disable AVG Protection and after which check if you are able to access Internet.

I renewed my subscription (first mistake!) and AVG stopped updating definitions on my vista machine. Up till then it worked fine - except for their ENDLESS pop ups to buy more and more and more of their software. So I contacted tech support (2nd mistake) who managed to corrupt the program so I had no protection. They’re idiots… they reboot without warning. What am I supposed to do after the reboot? What about my password to log back in… Two more sessions, each worse than the last. The last time, the machine would no longer even connect to the web! DO NOT BUY AVG. DO NOT USE THEIR TEC SUPPORT! Awful simply awful.

Ask the basic question - does AVG ACTUALLY SUPPORT VISTA SP2? Anyone other than the so called techs from AVG?

i wouldn’t follow your “advice” on a dare! You’re consistently WRONG AND DO MORE DAMAGE! What I’d like is some of my money back.

I have absolutely zero faith in any tech advice AVG might offer. AVG doesn’t really know what they are doing. As I said, your tech “experts” systematically ruined my machine. AVG wasn’t working when the last tech did more damage.
