AVG "DoNotDisturb": Possible Bug

Hello Ryan,
Removing the specific application from "Do not disturb" mode shouldn't prevent any notifications coming through. We would like to analysis this issue further. Please confirm if you have uninstalled the "Do not disturb" component? Do you get notifications now?

The Do Not Disturb component also blocks notifications from windows defender for whatever reason no normal person will ever understand. I had downloaded a file for analysis and windows defender attempted to warn three times about it including a backdoor while AVG completely missed the signature. I only found out something was up because parts of the zip file were missing, and realized they had been quarentined by windows defender but AVG blocked the noification from it. This software continues to be straight trash.

Yes, since uninstalling the component, and running the programs that originally were in the list, I have not needed to restart my computer in order to get notifications back after closing the program. I believe we have a confirmed issue with your DoNotDisturb component.

I've uninstalled the DoNotDisturb component do to a possible bug. I noticed that I was no longer getting notifications from windows, or anything that sends notifications through windows 10, after I would run a program that was in the "DoNotDisturb" list. However, even after closing said program, I would still be muted from notifications until I restarted my entire system. This is actually not ideal, so I have reason to believe this is a bug. If anyone else is able to confirm this, please let me know. Thanks!

Sean, AVG Antivirus program and Windows defender share different virus definitions. Some of the virus definitions might haven't updated in our database that could be the reason why AVG have missed it completely.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Do Not Disturb component alone in AVG Internet Security program to check if it still blocks the windows notifications?
