Hi. I had AVG antivirus free running in my computer. A few weeks ago, it stopped updating. Everytime I tried to update it there was an error. I uninstalled it and tried to install it again, as I thought this would solve the problem. However, I could not download it due to errors 41227 (0x0000A10B) and  0x00002bdc!  Next, I used AVG remover and AVG cleaner before trying to download AVG antivirus free again. Yet, I still could not download it due to the same errors. What could I do to solve this? Thank you.

This unknown error will occur when AVG free can't download update files from Internet, we need to change the DNS settings to default which resolve the issue completely. 

1. Please press windows button and "R "key on keyboard, it will open a run command box.
2. Now type "  ncpa.cpl   " on that run command which is open and click OK.
3. Select the network which is currently active (have green color symbol) ,  right click on that and select "properties".
4. It will open a network properties dialog box. You will get two tabs, named "networking" and "sharing".
5. Under "networking" tab, look for the item under the middle box, named  as "InternetProtocolversion(IPV4)".

  1. Click on this IPV4, it will enable its properties on the bottom right corner so click on "properties". 
    7. Now, enable(tick) the option named "use the following DNS address". 
    8. Type 8 on the first box, before the first dot(.) and press the right arrow key on keyboard. Again enter 8 for three time as you did above. 
    9. Next, on the second row, type 8 for two times and then 4 for two times.
    10. Click OK to apply this.
