Hello Christiaan,
I apologize for any inconvenience caused. The issue might be because of expired AVG Driver Updater. I request you to open control panel > program and features and look for the AVG Driver Updater. If there, you can uninstall this program (as you have not purchased it). If the issue still persists, then please share a screenshot of the pop up to assist you further. You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Best regards,
Alok.
I have a paid subscription for AVG Security and VPN.
But it infuriates me when bloatware is installed by AVG without my consent. In ths case AVG Updater that was somehow installed earlier in February and it keeps on popping up to tell me all my drivers are up top date, whether I ask for it or not. I have disabled it not to start with Windows startup, but somehowe it still sneaks in and popup. Really AVG, this is not on.
As soon as my subscription runs out, I think it will be time to find a new vendor.
You are most welcome, Christiaan.
It could be possible that you downloaded through a recommendation from one of your paid AVG subscriptions.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
Thanks Alok for your prompt response -much appreciated!
Yes I could uninstall - didn't realise it initially as I never installed it in the first place. Thank you.
