yes you may know, I went to the device manager and check the driver and compare the driver version that AVG downloaded and claim install with the version of the driver showing. the device manager is still showing the same driver I had before. I know it is out of date because Dell tech has said it was but will not update because I don't have a service plan with them anymore. My computer by the way is a Dell Inspiron 15 3542. I need to update the wi-fi driver before I can download the new version of windows 10 because if I download it without updating the driver, Window 10 new version deletes my entire wi-fi. I have talked to Microsoft about it and they said my driver is out of date and that is the reason it get deleted when I install the new verson of windows 10.

using AVG driver updater, but the WI-fi driver update did not update but the AVG is saying it finished how can I get it to re download the update? I have tried re scanning but it will not pick up the out dated Wi fi driver again.
Hello, Jo.
May I know how did you conclude that the Wi-Fi driver is not up to date?
and the way I know what driver AVG download, I wrote it down before I click on the download button so I could check to make it installed correctly.
