AVG Driver Updater has broken my webcam

Hi - yes, I updated everything that was recommended which did include audio visual stuff.

I have a Lenovo ideapad and just installed the AVG Driver Updater.  Since doing so my webcam comes on when asked, stays on for a minute and then flickers and turns itself off.  My work is entirely based on face to face online contact.  Please advise.

We request you to restore the driver and check for the issue again.

To restore your installed drivers, click the Restore tab. To restore drivers that were saved in the default system location, tick the box next to a device (Webcam)  and click Restore. If you saved your backup in a different location, click Restore from  and locate your backup
