We can help you with this.
If you have AVG Internet Security program installed, try disabling it and check the update of AVG Driver Updater.
Open AVG Internet Security interface.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Troubleshooting–>Passive Mode".
Slide the cursor, to turn off the protection temporarily.
Keep us informed about the status.

When I open my AVG Driver Updater I get a message "There is a new version of AVG Driver Updater available.  Would you like to update now?"

I answer "Yes."

But during the update process I get the messages:
"The subject is not trusted for the specified action."
"AVG Driver Updater Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. …"

I have rebooted my laptop twice, but get the same error messages repeatedly.

I do get tired of these install-type problems with AVG products.  This is not the first.
