Hi Gary,
Thank you contacting AVG Community Forum. I see you are facing issues with AVG driver updater struck when updating drivers. I am sorry for the inconvenience. This is an on-going issue. We recommend you to stop this update by closing Driver Updater / rebooting the device. You can also then choose to "ignore" this driver as per usual and wait for the fix. Thanks for understanding and Keep us updated.
Just purchased 1 year subscription of AVG Driver Updater. Having paid, it confirmed activation and the program started. It then asked me to restart my computer which I did. I then selected the drivers I wanted updated but it has been hanging on "Acer Airplane Mode Controller" for over an hour and despite it stating "updating" no data is being downloaded. I then get an email from AVG with a link to download the software (which is actually running anyway) providing me with an activation code?
Hi Gary,
Thank you for the reply. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please share us the screenshot of the page (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) ?
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. Thanks in advance.
I cannot stop the updating. I have stopped the program in task manager and rebooted my PC but when I open the AVG Driver Update again, it simply resumes at the same point (hanging on the Acer Airplane Mode Controller).
