We're glad to look into this & help you.
As we're uncertain about the steps that you've tried to disable the notifications, please check the below steps to disable pop ups:
Open AVG - Menu - Settings - General - Personal privacy - Uncheck 'Show pop up offers for other AVG programs & 3rd party programs'
If you've already followed the above steps, share us the screenshot of the pop up about which you're concerned.
If not, please follow the steps & let us know if it helps.

Starting about two weeks ago, I started getting pop ups from AVG trying to sell AVG Driver Updater.  I've disabled pop ups on my AVG Internet Security, but apparently this doesn't stop AVG marketing of its Driver Updater. Any suggestions on how to stop these pop ups from AVG?
