Hello William,
We are sorry to know that. Please do not worry, this can happen if the driver which is being installed may have a larger file and may take time to complete the process. If it still takes time. we suggest you to cancel this update and restart the computer. After the restart run the scan using Driver Updater of AVG and check if that fix this issue.

I was using AVG Driver Updater. Several Drivers had been updated, usually taking 3 minutes or less. Then, after a restart,
I received the following message;
AVG Driver Updater
Installing Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller - 3B30…
This continued for over 20 minutes without completing the download or update… Help!
