This problem has occurred again. I have taken screen directory screen shots however your software will not allow the PDF to be uploaded.
The Dump files were in AVG/Dumps/av16 directory. There were more than 27,000 files making up 160.2GB on the HDD.
To find them I had to remove the SSD from the computer and use WINDIRSTATS to find and delete the files.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I installed AVG to stop this type of thing happening. Please give me an email address to send the screen shots and reply by email. This requieres URGENT action.
Kind regards
Allan Williams
Hi Allan,
We are sorry to hear this.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
We will help you with the necessary information.
Did you identify those dumb files from AVG PC TuneUp or third party software?
Have you deleted those dumb files from AVG?
If you still have those files, can you send us the screenshot?
Keep us posted.

I told you that I had to use a third pary software to find and remove the files as AVG did not identify the files nor allow their removal. As the files were hidden they could not be accessed through the file search function.
I did not take a screen shot of the files, there were in excess of 22000 files with a total of about 170GB.
I had to delete the files to use the computer as it is used for my business and I had already lost days trying to solve the problem.
I have also been unable to work out how to find any support issue I raise on this website apart from using the address in the email response received. The support website design is very bad and the search function is completely useless.

I have AVG Ultimate and I recently loaded AVG Optimiser on a computer that only had AVG Free previously so that I could optimise the computer. Running Clean Up identified 37GB which I asked to be removed. When I checked the hard drive I found it was full. I could not find the problem. The properties for each folder on C: drive only identified 73GB and yet the drive contained 256GB. Eventually using other software it was identified that a AVG Dump folder contained 130GB. These files were hidden. Once deleted with the other software the harddrive now only has 73GB on it.
I am extremely disatisfied with AVG software which claims to optimise the computer but it did the exact opposite. I wasted hours trying to find the problem. Also I find this support page functions poorly. I found an entry via Google for this issue experienced by Leonid Zentiger in Jan 2019, however using the search function on the page with the exact subject details does not find it. The help is very poorly organised on the whole and I don't expect to spend long periods of time trying to find the required information. I found it difficult to activate the software.
Please advise
Allan Williams
Allan, we understand your concern.
What was the name of the dumb folders?
Can you mention the third party software which you used for scanning?
Do you still have the AVG program installed in your computer?
We don't have an dedicated email support. However. if you wish we can send you an email and you can reply back to that email.
Thank you.
Allan, sorry to hear that the issue recurred.
I have sent an email as per your request, please revert it containing requested information to assist you further.
