AVG: extreme slowness in updating

I have run your AVG_SysInfo.exe tool. The issue description is included as a comment.

I see no way to include the file you want here!

David, The diagnostic output should be auto sent to AVG. If that fails you could resort to a 3rd party server such as dropbox. For typical info have a look thro' this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D4ZvAAK).

Every morning, AVG updates itself. This process takes roughly five minutes. During this time I cannot use my computer, because AVG hangs the computer while updating. I have written software for Windows myself, and I can assure you that if you yield the CPU so that Windows "messages" can be sent and received, such hanging can be fixed with a few lines of code.

There is also no way to change the update schedule to the middle of the night and have it wake the computer to do the update.

AVG is a mature product. It should not have this bug.

Please fix this problem!!

Hi David,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks

David, In the AVG Schedule Advanced Settings ( User Interface->Options) for Definition Update Schedule & Program Update Schedule you can disable 'Run when computer starts up if task has been missed'.
