Avg Failed To Update Virus Definition And Program Version "Invalid File Signature"

The problem is I still didn't have connection to decent internet right now, and as you know to reinstall avg will use internet and I afraid if the installation process will fail in the middle, so I really hope for another way to fix this without reinstalling

I notice something weird again, I check my task scheduler and see that Antivirus Emergency Update task not showing any "next run time" as you can see on the pic below

Could this be the cause for "Invalid file signature" problem ?
Although I doubt this was the cause because I already check my other pc which using win7 64 bit and this "next run time" not showing too but on my other pc the update still work fine tho

I check on my other laptop which using win 7 32 bit and the next run time in task scheduler still show up, so I think this only occur on win 7 64 bit?
What the cause of this too?

So can I try to delete the defs folder ? which contain stream folder etc ?

As far as I see the problem happen since two days ago. I really hope for other solution than reinstalling my AVG

I really hope for the response to my question here, or should I create a new thread since it looks like my question in this thread doesn't get any response

So is there no other solution from AVG Personnel except reinstalling for the invalid file signature problem??

I really dissapointed why everytime avg has problem the only solution it gives always reinstalling, in 2017 I had reinstalling avg like five times and now I must reinstalling again

In pic 2 you can see the error message show up after it try to downloading the file uat.vpx on both virus definition update or program version updateUser-added image

It's okay Erick. I'm not an AVG Personnel, but I have encountered the same error too and managed to fix it.

First, uninstall your AVG Free/Internet Security.
Download AVG's installer from AVG's official Website.
Re-install AVG. This reinstalled version should be the updated version, and its updates should now run normally as well.

Note: The latest AVG Free version is 18.2.3046

Hope this helps you. Have a great day!

Is there anyway to delete the corrupted update files manually?
For example Can i just delete update files in defs folder? I think this is where the virus definition folder is
But i doubt this is where program version location tho

I check the support and see other people post get a reply but my post only got 1 reply from dev and that's it??

Is this how you are gonna treat people that using your product??

I'm waiting for response if deleting the stream update can help the download or not but even the simple question and I have no reply while other dev reply to other post

I know I'm a free user but never thought this is the treatment I'm gonna get because I'm a free user.

If you can't fix it then don't say we will contact you soon like the post above and let us waiting for other solution while our virus definition get outdated
