Avg Failling to install

When I try to download it from the AVG website, I keep getting the error message:

AVG Antivirus installer is unable to continue because the installer is corrupted or is forbidden to run on this machine.  For more information please see the Setup log file
Reason: 41226 (0x0000A10A) (DNS resolve error)

What am I doing wrong and how can I resolve this?

Please clarify whether you're attempting to install AVG Free Antivirus on your computer & let us know the operating system installed on your computer along with the service pack info.

I would request you to run AVG Clear tool link to completely remove AVG traces and then re-install.
