Please follow this guide in order to remove the AVG Family Safety from your computer.
1. Open Windows Task Manager by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys together.
2. Switch to Processes tab and find process named "BsecTray.exe", right click on it and choose End process.
3. Now do the same with processes named "BSecAMX.exe", "InetCtrl.exe" and "avgfasui.exe" (if available in the list).
4. Make sure none of the three above mentioned processes is running.
5. Go to the "C:\Program Files\AVG" folder.
6. There should be folder named "AVG Family Safety". Rename the folder to "xAVG Family Safety" (right-click on the folder, and then click Rename.
7. Click Start, and then click Run (or click in the Start Search field).
8. Type CMD, and then press ENTER.
Hello.
I need help unistalling AVG Family Safety from Control Panel. It asks for an adminstistrative password. I don't have the password. There is a "Forgot Password" link but that does not work. Is there any work around or standard password to get this product uninstalled.
It has been 3 years since I have used this product and I didn't have an issue leaving it installed on the computer. However, I am now getting an error when I bring up the browser "AVG Family Services are not running"

- In the command prompt type:
netsh winsock reset
and press ENTER.
10. Now you can delete the renamed folder - e.g. "xAVG Family Safety". It is possible that some files will not delete. Just skip them.
11. Reboot the computer.
12. Visit this web page http://www.avg.com/us-en/download and download the installation file.
13. Run the downloaded file, and then follow the installation wizard. Finish the installation process.
14. At the end of installation process please do not fill in any credentials. Click Cancel without filling in username or password.
15. Uninstall AVG Family Safety now. There is no password required to completely remove the program.
