AVG Family Security

Hello Emily,
We wish to keep you informed that our product 'AVG Family Safety' is no longer available for a new purchase or supported. Thank you.

AVG Technologies (formerly named Grisoft) is a Czech company formed in 1991 by Jan Gritzbach and Tomáš Hofer, with corporate offices in Europe and the United States. The company specializes in computer security software.AVG Family Safety 10.2 is available as a free download on our software library. This program is an intellectual property of AVG Technologies. The program's installer files are commonly found as avgfasui.exe or BsecTray.exe etc. The program lies within Security Tools, more precisely Privacy. This download was scanned by our antivirus and was rated as virus free. The following versions: 11.8, 10.2 and 10.1 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. This PC software is suitable for 32-bit versions of Windows 7.AVG Family Safety also offers alerts when it detects inappropriate words in social network posts, which is a nice feature. It doesn't actually block the language. It also warns users who log into social networking sites that their activity will be monitored, and stores their login credentials so that parents then have full access to their account

I'm getting an error message "AVG Family Safety  Bsecure Services are currently not responding!  ETC." The AVG product was a website porn/bad site blocker and it has been dormant in the background since the license expired in 2014.  it had a user interface requiring a password but none of that functions or even appears now. The resident uninstall link just hangs and the product is not supported (or sold??) by AVG any longer.

Any ideas for removing the program or for getting support??
