AVG Firewall blocks all internet connection on Windows 8.1

AVG Firewall does not work with Windows 8.1.  I have had to disable it as it was preventing connection to ANY website.  I spent 2 hrs on the phone with HP trying to figure out what the problem was.  I can't run Windows firewall because AVG is preventing it.  Why do we have to pay $60 to be guinea pigs for your "updates".  TRY TESTING THEM ON YOUR OWN COMPUTERS FIRST!!!

We test our products before releasing them.
If you want use Windows firewall please uninstall AVG firewall by add/remove programs.

I have also experienced this problem (on paid-for version). on 8.1!  We tried to manually add exceptions to the AVG firewall, ie iexplorer, windows live mail, but the AVG firewall ignores these (even after rebooting, etc)

AVG's reply is incredible, indefensible, the guy should be fired!  Money back please.
